I am a qualified mindfulness teacher and wellbeing specialist and I offer a range of mindfuless services in Glossop.

Mindfulness is a way of being in the present moment which helps us manage our mental health. 


It involves paying more attention to what is around you, so that you are not lost in unhelpful thoughts.

But it is also about increasing your awareness of what is going on inside you too such as body and breath.


The more we increase our awareness in this way the more we are able to self manage our mental health.  

 


Many people try mindfulness but find it hard so they think its not for them so give up. 


However, 
I have helped hundreds of people find easy to use mindfulness in their every day life for improved wellbeing, including people who struggled before.  

 

Sometimes people think mindfulness is not for them because it seems a bit spiritual, but it is fact backed my science and recommended by the NHS for a range of mental health concerns. This includes depression, anxiety, stress and anger but perhaps not for more complex issues. 


My mindfulness services include the following:

 

  • Being more mindful in everyday life and trying different anchors
  • Working with the body to increase awareness and manage stress
  • Working with the breath and increase awareness and manage stress
  • Definition of compassion and how it can help improve our mental health 
  • Dealing with difficult emotions with acceptance and compassion
